New classes are being offered in February and March. Come in and sign up!

STAINED GLASS CLASSES REQUIRE STUDENTS TO PERSONALLY SIGN-UP FOR EACH CLASS THEY WISH TO ATTEND.

PLEASE NOTE: EXCEPT FOR THE MOSIAC TABLE TOP CLASS, AND THE FOIL CLASS, ALL CLASSES REQUIRE EXPERIENCE IN ONE OF THE SPECIFIED DISCIPLINES

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE IS USED TO TRY TO PROVIDE FAIRNESS AND EQUITY IN CLASS AVAILABILITY WHILE RECOGNIZING OUR NEED TO LIMIT CLASS SIZE TO A MANAGEABLE LEVEL.

Sign-up sheets will be available and posted, IN THE STAINED GLASS SHOP, at 9:00 am ON THE DATES INDICATED.

Prospective students are expected to appear “in person” to add their name and associated information to the list.

Attendees will be honored on a “first come – first served” basis

Due to limited facility, instructors may limit the class size in order to effectively teach the material

An “alternate” sign-up will be provided after the normal class size has been reached in order to provide a list of potential students to fill vacancies. Instructors will call people on this list if a vacancy occurs.

All Classes will be evening classes from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (EXCEPT AS NOTED)

STAINED GLASS CLASS SCHEDULE AND SIGN-UP PROCEDURE 2014 - 2015

2014 - 2015 All GLASS CLASSES REQUIRE STUDENTS TO PERSONALLY SIGN-UP FOR EACH CLASS THEY WISH TO ATTEND.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE GLASS SHOP ORIENTATION AS A PREREQUISITE FOR CLASS ATTENDANCE UNLESS PRIOR INSTRUCTION HAS BEEN TAKEN AT PALM CREEK.

Here's a note from one of the wonderful artists at the Glass Studio:

I'm Karen Henderson, a stained glass artist and teacher since 1974. I learned the craft in northern Alberta, Ft. McMurray, and soon became known as the "stained glass lady."
In the past I have taught the making of, garden stones, foil projects, mosaics .

I have done stained glass for restaurants, show homes, school chapels, nursing homes and private commissions. Teaching and doing commissions keeps me busy in my retirement.

Now in our Palm Creek Glass Shop I have been exploring the art of fusion and sculpting of glass and I have had the opportunity to work with many talented glass artists
from Canada and the US. In the four areas of glass, fusion, foil, garden stones and mosaics we are always experimenting and pushing the limits of the craft with fantastic results.

I am thrilled when students get "hooked on glass" and create something that is artistic
and emotionally pleasing. Come in to the shop and have a look at all the creativity!
