I'm Karen Henderson, a stained glass artist and teacher since 1974. I learned the craft in northern Alberta, Ft. McMurray, and soon became known as the "stained glass lady."
In the past I have taught the making of, garden stones, foil projects, mosaics .
I have done stained glass for restaurants, show homes, school chapels, nursing homes and private commissions. Teaching and doing commissions keeps me busy in my retirement.
Now in our Palm Creek Glass Shop I have been exploring the art of fusion and sculpting of glass and I have had the opportunity to work with many talented glass artists
from Canada and the US. In the four areas of glass, fusion, foil, garden stones and mosaics we are always experimenting and pushing the limits of the craft with fantastic results.
I am thrilled when students get "hooked on glass" and create something that is artistic
and emotionally pleasing. Come in to the shop and have a look at all the creativity!
